Take a Kid Fishing Day

At Take a Kid Fishing Day, you can get outside to learn about our water resources and different species of aquatic creatures while relaxing by the lake, catching fish and enjoying lunch! Pre-registration for the event is open until May 22nd and costs only $1.00. You can pick up a registration form at the Daviess County USDA Service Center, Daviess County Extension Service, Tractor Supply, Rural King, Reid's Orchard, Frank Miller & Sons, Bass-n-More, Owensboro Museum of Science and History, Academy Sports or Gordon's True Value. You can also print the online form available at www.daviesscountyconservation.com/Take-a-Kid-Fishing-Day.html. If you don't have time, you can wait till day of event, but the cost goes up to $2. Cost includes lunch for both adults and children, and kids also get a free t-shirt. Prizes and awards will also be given to kids, and everyone can take their fish home after the fun is over. Come out and join us from 9am to noon and bring your fishing pole and bait (limited supply you can borrow) Let's go fishing!
