Athena Awards

Girls Incorporated of Owensboro-Daviess County works tirelessly every day to inspire young women of our community to be strong, smart and bold.

An important part in forming those characteristics in our young, impressionable women is to provide a role model — someone who can open their eyes to the possibilities of what anyone, man or woman, can do.

One of the ways Girls Incorporated does that is with its annual Athena Awards program. In partnership with the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce, Girls Incorporated will present the 2015 Athena Award to someone who has attained and personified the highest level of professional excellence in their business or profession, has donated time and energy to the community in a meaningful way and, most especially, has generously assisted women in attaining their full potential.

Inspiring women to be strong, smart and bold — let’s celebrate and honor someone who does it intuitively and with passion with the 2015 Athena award! Please join us for this wonderful celebration with Kelley Paul, author and wife of US Senator Rand Paul as our speaker.
