About Us

Audubon Federal Credit Union has a solid foundation, started in 1956 by ten each of Owensboro's Fire fighters and Police Officers in the back of the old police station on 7th Street. A Credit Union begun by Owensboro's first responders is not surprising, just as they are here to help us in our hour of need, they wanted to help the residence of Daviess County also have a better chance at a brighter financial future!
Audubon is DAVIESS COUNTY'S COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION, if you live, work, attend school or church in Daviess County, you are eligible to join. With Membership comes ownership! You become part owner of your financial institution! We offer not just what a bank offers, we offer so much more! Such as Financial Education or Counseling to both non-member and Members free of charge. You need not be a Member to receive education or help! We are also available to work with area businesses to create a Financial Wellness Program that may cost you nothing at all and your employees need not join AFCU.
